It’s not always stress, some puffers do it just to ‘practice’ it’s only very harmful if they take in air and can’t expel it

And yes he’s fine now! My husband saw him do it one other time a year or so ago. I have yet to be here and witness it

I’ve had various puffers over the past 14 years since I fell in love with them. My oldest right now is one of my gsps, olive. She’s around 6 years old

Puffers are what got me into saltwater and mantis shrimp kept me hooked

Congratulations, at least you have it on video!

And yes, every indication from my experience with puffers is the young ones are much more prone to "practice puff". I have a porc that is prone to puffing when he first wakes from his afternoon naps. I only managed to get off three sequence frames of the "depuffing".

It cracks me up cause they look like they’re having a temper tantrum! I’m waiting for my porky to puff so I can hopefully witness it and get pics

Maybe he has nightmares and that’s his reaction
