you could go with the 3 pump doser, you still have the option to add a 4th pump later (in sum a bit more expensive and without discount then, of course...)
or buy the 4 pump doser and have the full discount now

sorry, but can't help you here with that decision ...

@FMF0331 Those are slave models that require a Doser 2 SA or ProfiLux controller.

If you don't have either, you need the standalone version.

The 4 pump doser presents the best value, even more so with the discount.

Thank you for the reply ...

i don't have either, guess i'll be buying the stand alone model > going with the 4 doser unit

Silly question - so , the "SA" in the " GHL doser 2 SA " is the ( stand alone ) model ?

I just ordered mine!

I'd like to see the product additional description tab to show what's include in the box. I'm assuming the hoses are included. But knowing that and how long the hose is would be helpful information.

Lines to and from the tank are not included in the box. As everyone's use for the pump would be different. You can use standard air line tubing for dosing.

If I go with an SA model can you eventually tie it in with a profilux controller? (Am am assuming yes...but you know what they say about assuming anything...)

I am just starting out and i prefer quality equipment and was impressed with GHL when i got my hands on things at Reefaplooza, NY this past June, so i would love try a SA unit for ATO and AWC as i have heard the Apex DOS pumps can burn out/ wear out in under a year for those functions and I have not committed to a controller yet so this could be the hook. Yes!
In fact, I already had the Profilux but I went with the SA Doser 2 anyways.
I figured I might eventually use some of the extra ports, and I ended up setting it all up through MyGHL rather than the pc based software.
Plus I figured if I ever needed to sell it in the future it would be a little easier.
Now if I were to need more than 4 pumps, I would add a slave unit.

Correct. You get the little medical grade tubes that run through the pump heads and the little clear plastic nipples, but you do need to supply your own tubing to run to your dosing containers.

I will say i like the idea of having the SA unit then being able to add slave units later.

Optical or float depends on what you like either will work. I have both.
Yes the plug into the back of the pump. You also can use a y splitter cable to have to switches.
I am using a Slave pump to do AWC work. My first GHL doser is for Balling.
I have another 4 pump Ghl Slave pump that I will be using for dosing additives.

I want to set it up to do AWC and ATO...

I am a techie so i lean towards optical...just dont know how many sensors i would need to accomplish the above.

Thanks for putting up with me, i have a shopping cart already just need to figure out the sensor aspect.

@ReeferRoo Once you select the color SA doser you'd like, you will need these items to run ATO and AWC (2 sensors required) functions:

If you decide on getting float sensors, you will need these parts:
If you prefer optical sensors, you will need these parts:

You will need only 2 sensors to run ATO and AWC functions. The top sensor can be assigned to run both ATO and AWC functions.

Sounds good. I ordered a 4 pump black SA unit and a temp probe for haha's since the discount applied to it as well, coupon didn't apply to the sensors, i think i just got lucky on the temp probe. I will order the other equipment when i get closer to set things up.

I will save the post for the accessories which i will be buying.

When i eventually set up the system i am sure i will ask for some of the experts for help!

Thanks again!!!
