I have about 20 days left of Core7 -1 Magnesium. I still have more of the other bottles of Core 7. Does anyone know which bottles contain trace elements? After 20 days I will have to start dosing Magnesium manually and I want to know if this will affect the proper amount of trace elements that are needed.
Thanks

Most of the trace elements are in bottle nr 1
So if possible get some quick.

The only bottle that is different between Core7 and Other Methods is bottle 1. That has extra iron and stuff for the refugium.

No core 7 is core 7 both are the same strength. The difference is indeed the additional elements for extra growth of the algae in the refugium.

Perhaps you are talking about the “old” elementz. Witch is indeed a lot less concentrated

There is Core 7 Triton Method and Core 7 Other Methods. They are the same strength.
Base Elements was the original Triton and Core 7 is 7x the strength of Base Elements.

I've been told core 7 bottle 1 and 3a,3b have the trace elements and bottle 2 (Cal) doesn't,
That's why you can dose bottle 2 differently from the other bottles :)

Magnesium is Bottle 1, Calcium is bottle 2 and Alk is 3a and 3b. But obviously each bottle isn't 'just' the main headline element.

Good to know, thanks.

My Alk is 9.8, Ca 420, Mg 1250. Would you suggest backing off on 3a and 3b and increasing 1 and 2? I really want Alk at 8, ca 450 and mg 1440.

No, to be honest I wouldn't, those parameters are fine.

The ethos behind the Triton is different than dosing 2 part where you dose the elements individually to get the levels you want.
With Triton you are supposed to dose equal quantities of all and find the kH level at which the ca and Mg are holding in the correct balance for your reef.

9.8dKh does seem a little higher than you normally hear for this balance, but its still well within the alkalinity range that is safe for your tank. If its not broken then don't fix it and as I said your parameters sound pretty good to me.

I’ll leave it dosing evenly as is per your suggestion. Thanks Joe!
