Hello,

I'm biding my time with shutdown by getting every possible thing I can get ready in the fishroom via delivered materials. I have the lumber ready to construct my workbench, water change stand, tank stand, and shelves all for use in my dedicated 8x10 fishroom. I purchased 3 gallons of oil-based Kilz and 3 quarts of Spar Polyurethane. I am thinking of doing fishroom walls/ceiling white and all of the racks and benche etc. black. I am leaning Kilz primer and then a black gloss latex paint to cover (and not using poly). I am here hoping to get any painting guru's or fellow fishroom-havers for their thoughts or suggestions.

Thanks and be well

the oil based kilz has very powerful fumes when used indoors. Hopefully you have very good air circulation, or a respirator. If not I would consider exchanging for latex based Kilz.
