PAR of T5 = PAR of LED?

I am wondering to go back to LED lighting as now I am using T5 but miss the pop, shimmer, adjustability,...
When choosing a LED fixture many ask me for the PAR levels in my tank. This to see and find a good fixture and to let the change to LED go as smooth as possible.

    So the question is:
If PAR levels are maintained the same, do corals react (grow, PE) equal to LED as to T5?
I understand spectrum is an important factor but Radions have the AB+ program that mimics T5 lighting which should be pretty close.

LED is focused light and T5 is diffused multi-directional light. You should approach this as if you got new corals. Acclimate!

Set the LED low and work it up. The fact that an LED is going to be focused light at one spot and more diffused light 4 inches away makes it impossible to swap out lighting. Buy the LED you like and want to have, acclimate the corals to this light.
