Hey guys,
I’ve had my tank setup for about 2 years now. In that time I have moved multiple times so I wouldn’t say it’s extremely stable, but everything is still surviving. I originally had a 20 long and everything was doing good and I was seeing good growth. I upgraded to a 40 breeder about a year ago and ever since then everything has just been surviving with very little growth. I’m just wondering if anyone would have any idea why
Equipment:
40 breeder
Medium aquafuge 2
Aquaclear 70
Tunze 9004 skimmer
2 ai prime hds
Jaebo gyre pump

Stocking:
Six line wrasse
Clown pair
Diamond goby
Bangai cardinal
Cuc
Lps and softies

parameters
Cal 450
Alk 9.6
Mag 1300
Ph 8.15 (morning)
No3 50
P04 0.02

I feed a quarter cube of mysis every other day

thanks for any help

I see this scenario so often and suddenly things take off. You can add supplements such as Pohls' 1-2-3-4 or Seachem fuel which seem to perk things up.
Moderate light and water flow is best as is temp 77-79 and salinity of 1.025
What test kits are you using as false readings can cause you miss something happening out of your control.

I imagine you added a bunch of dead rock moving to the 40 right?

it might take a while for the rock to mature which might be why you’ve seen some luck of progression.

I kept all the old rock and added some dry, but it has been a little over a year now so I can’t even tell the difference between the old and new

Interesting I’ve never really heard of this. I cannot find it on Amazon, where would I be able to buy it to test it out?

So basically you don’t think I am currently doing anything wrong and I just need to dose trace elements?
Not saying that as numbers if accurate look good, but Bethesda boosters often give the coral the pep they need
