Yes it does! My colony in my old 120 was about 6x8" Mine grows decent, but I have a long way to go to match my old beauty. I am starting to pull pinkish hues in the tips. In my opinion the Hawkins is a must have in any sps aquarium :)

Looking really good Perry!

Thanks Josh!
Trying to dial in my new skimmer to get nitrates down, been hovering around 30-50ppm for a couple months. The Simplicity DC240 was not keeping up. So, I upgraded to the Simplicity DC320. Double the pump power and air draw, so thinking it should bust them trates up in short order. On a positive note, my ph increased by .1 as a result. Pulling air from outside, so the increase in the air draw gave me a bump, lol, I will take it :)

Hey Scott,
Thank you! Luckily I have only lost one coral since the reboot, and that was through a bout of dinos twice, and cyano too. The sourced corals mostly came in chunky, and very healthy. I believe this was a contributing factor to total tank health and solid growth. Colors are trending, despite elevated N03(30-50ppm). P04 holds on it's own around .08-.12ppm. Just upgraded to the Simplicity DC320 from the DC240. PH shot up .1 as a result too, lol

New project underway. I have this pre-drilled 10 gallon tank that was collecting dust, so decided to plumb it into the system to make for a mangrove fuge. Had to re-inforce seams with silicone, so sometime this week, should see this come to life. This will be a deep sandbed, probably between 6-8" of live sand. I will also have a nice chunk of rock ready to put in there as well :)

Very nice! I'm going to do a combo of sea grass and a single mangrove in my 10g lagoon.

Thank you!
I really didn't want to put anything algae wise, in the sump. Been there, done that, lol. Here's my thought: Adding 40lbs of sand giving me an 8" sandbed, with the mangroves, should eventually control nitrates. Looking for longterm stability, hoping this provides a long-term solution. Still trying to keep aesthetics in mind, although it's just me, no approval necessary, I am not letting my reefing addiction get out of control, lol. Now, trying to figure out how to place these 10 new acros, that's way more confusing :)

Looks awesome! Sounds like it's time to add a frag tank. ;)

Looking great!! Does that bring the sps count to 60 pieces (the list you provided) in the 90 gallon tank, or do you run a frag tank as well?

corey
Hi Corey,
Thanks for checking in :)
At this point, all 60+ sps pieces in my 90 gallon. I actually am in the process of adding rock back to the tank for more area to place corals. I am confident that I can home all of them for about another 8 months to a year. I will either be adding a separate grow out system, or be looking for a larger system in the beginning of 2023. I am thinking more towards a 200-250 gallon system and still keeping my 90 in play, oh the decisions, lol :) Suffice to say that I am pretty maxed out, still have to plug 6 more acros sitting on the rack, that's my weekend plan anyway.
Cheers!

Thanks for the reply Perry. You have some awesome pieces there my friend. I just picked up a few pieces I’ve been eyeballing for my tank as well. I’m torn, being of the old school ways I want less sps and huge colonies. But there are so many frags out there I love! Haha
i have to be selective in what I add as time goes on. i will continue to follow your tank as always man.

I hear you man, good problems, but problems nonetheless, lol. I am really a milli fan, but also dig the classics. For example, my Tyree Tri-color is so beautiful, but gets looked over constantly. All my millis are going nuts except the BC Fleshdunce, it is a pita, but trying to do something... I am still very much stuck on the RRC Jaw Dropper, it's such an amazing piece! Hoping to get a FTS up soon, of course after I clear the rack, lol.
