Hi, with the ZeoLight system what elements are controlling the reduction and level of phosphate? Is it Reef Vitality and/or Coral Balance? I still can't get used to not having a phosphate absorber such as UltraPhos. Thanks, Andy

    Hi Andy,

Both RV and CB will help with PO4 control. Depending on how high PO4 levels are, you can add a small amount of PO4 remover without a problem.

Hi, thanks, I need to test the level! Is one better than the other for phosphate control?

It comes down to a matter of preference.

    Ultra Phos - Aluminum based
    Power Phos - Iron based
Power Phos 0,04 - Mixed blend consisting of Iron based media

    All will reduce PO4. :)

Hi sorry, I meant Reef Vitality vs Coral Balance for phosphate control. Should Zeolight systems always have Reef Vitality with Coral Balance being optional? Thanks, Andy

The effectiveness of nutrient management and coral growth is best noticed when both products are used.
