Any advice on getting the large female to change? She’s had her male face paint for probly about 12 months now but things have seemed to stall out otherwise. Add another small female (there are 2 additional females already that have both grown quite a bit)? Diet?

Good nutrition and good water condition is a given. I feed my fish a variety of things, Frozen Mysis, Otohime marine pellets, several flake food, mainly from Omega One all mixed together. I feed them fresh sea food like oyster, fish roe, clams.
I also put a huge mirror on my tank 30'X20' several times a week for about 30 mins or so. I think this really help stimulate the fish and get their hormone going. I think this is one of the reasons I was able to get the best color out of my fish. Push them over the edge so to speak. I recommend that you try it and see if it helps.
There is nothing that would cause me to run faster than have my rival nipping at my heel.
Good luck with your fish.
