How are you liking the setup still? Why was there a need to add t5 to begin with? I have been thinking of switching to leds, but I use no supplemental lighting with my halides and I love that. I don’t want to switch to led if I have to add t5 to prevent shadowing or get growth.

Corey
Love it. Took it to a whole new level.

On my light i was going with the coral lab ab+ wich was 4:2 meaning for every 4 blue, uv, sky blue i would go 2 whites, greens and reds.

Where did you find those hanging brackets? I just need them for a possible Photon purchase. I like that over the side brackets.

We were looking at similar solutions, they mount to our lights super easy because of the T-track that's built in. But they definitely take away from the aesthetic if you don't run them in a canopy.

Can you recommend where I can purchase the longer channel screws & nuts?

I’m really thinking about ordering one of these hybrid fixtures for my photon 48 v2, I’ve been reading that the bulbs can melt to the fixture. Are any of you having this issue? Also have you noticed more growth with the added t5s.

Wow, didn't realize this thread had gotten so much momentum. I am having great success, but wanted to make sure I share some of my tribulations. I run my T5's from 11am - 5p. My T5's are blue plus since I can adjust the whites. I need to back my blues off on my RB light during the time I have my T5's on. I am running that at max 50 on channel 3 and 5. Some people are looking for my light schedule and I will share that with this link. I am also about 7" of the water on a 120 gallon that is 24"deep. I would rather be about 10-12, but working on that slowly. Glad to see this thread spawned some new ideas and relationships with a great group of people. Logan is top notch and always there for us. I had a micro usb break off in a remote once and he shipped me a new one overnight. That's great service.

Please let me know if you all have any questions as well. I will try to post some pics of growth. All of the corals in my tank on this build are from WWC. I splurged. :)
