hey guys, was thinking about culturing phyto, was gonna choose nanno for a culture starter (also have choice of tetra)

can i use old tank water for mixing with f2 fert and the refill of culture bottle? anyone have problems doing this?

is nanno the better choice here? or would you do both :p

also the f2 fert is refrigerated when not in use, but am i able to make a 1 gallon media mix of water and fert for use during the month (using 500ml culturing bottles), and store this in a cabinet? or will this end up spoiling ?

Your old water will have all kinds of contaminates in it. Bacteria, even perhaps pods depending on if you plan on filtering it first ect. While personally I just use new freshly mixed saltwater made from 0 TDS RO/DI, I know more serious people will bleach then dechlorinate the water first to make sure its sterile even after starting with freshly mixed saltwater.
