Hello

I'm setting up a little pico tank on my bedside table 22x22cm cube (8.6inch), or 10.5L (2.8G). I'm just waiting on a piece of acrylic to turn up to finish my aquascape. Didn't have much choice of dry rock at local shop but managed to make a little rock cave out of small/slim pieces I could find and silicone. Once stuck to acrylic it should be floating with a entrance to cave at right rear and most likely underneath at front. I will probably place 2 rocks at front or in each corner and fill bottom with fine white sand I have. Water flow and lighting is pretty basic with a small aqua one Hob filter with 180L/h (47G) water flow with poly filter, bio noddles and carbon. Lighting I have just a desk lamp about 6 inches above tank and have a 10w globe with 5x 2w led (2x470nm blue 2x450nm blue , 1x 7000k white)

Now on coral selection for main rock while the light and water flow aren't that powerful with the rock being half way up the tank and water flowing straight on to main rock will this be enough to grow a little acan garden. If not will be OK for zoa/paly.

Unless we actually know what light you are getting we can't say for certain. Light, flow, and parameters are the three foundations you will need to have a handle on for a successful reef tank. My recommendation would be to spend a little extra on the lighting and do it right to increase the likelihood of having success. There are reasonably priced options to keep your desired corals alive and better yet, thriving. Set yourself up for success, not failure.

He wrote what kind of light he’s using if you take some time to read before giving a generic response..and yes you could grow either, colours might not be insane but you can easily upgrade in the future if you find a used AI prime or Kessil I would scoop it up.
