There so many things wrong with that I would not recommend anybody trying that. 1st never double score glass you might get away with it on 1/4 glass or thinner but thicker would not break right the break would run to the shortest side which can be very dangerousness . I would not recommend using that silicone either. I dont think it would hold long term there are a lot better silicones out there that are much better suited for tank building

How big of an Aquarium are you planning to make?

For silicone, I use what the big companies use on their BIG tanks:
Black - RTV 103
Clear - RTV 108

The best advice for clean silicone lines, TAPE! Use painter's tape and tape up the glass, this will leave you with perfectly straight silicone beads. I know people use spoons instead of their fingers when smoothing out the silicone. I prefer a finger though.
