I like to keep my lights on a cool white type setting for most of the day so the colors won’t be popping like some if the other tank pics but here is the cleaner shrimp I got, one of the pom pom’s hiding, my teal candy cane, and what was labeled as a teal micro hammer but under my lights it’s clearly a toxic spill splatter color. I still like it because I don’t have anything that color and I love how the tenticles are “micro”.
I lost one of my pepermint shrimp but I kind if expected it. It took me a long time to net him and I think it stressed him. The other 3 are happy and SO well fed! But they like to stay under my frag rack so I can’t get a good picture. The other two coral in the pic are things I picked up locally 2 days ago.
Thank you. I went super "hightec" on the QT frag tanks. LOL! I used $4.99 5gal rubber made containers, $9.99 5gal heaters, and either an old submergible mini filter without media or a mini 5gal air pump and some tubing. I think total, it cost me about $45 total to make two 5gal tanks including the distilled water I use and the egg crate. And then I just put them on the floor in front of the tank so the corals can get used to my light cycle while I can also inspect for hitch hikers. I also use the basic plastic egg crate and use wire cutters to cut sections to fit the plugs and I used some extra crate to make "legs" for the platform to stand on.
