Does this goby seems to be ok? I just got it 2 days ago, shipped in sal 1.026 the same as the aquarium it is in.

It is mostly hiding but that is to be expected with a goby? I have been trying to feed it frozen food: mysis, shrimp and artemia. It just tastes the food then spit it out. The aquarium is well established and has a lot of amphipods.

I can not determine if the gills are swollen, but it breaths about 90 times per minute.

No detectable ammonia (salifert).
Could something be wrong or is it just adjusting?

It’s is above normal breathing and fish seems somewhat thin
Isbut eating and what are you feeding?
These are susceptible to bacteria although I no see nothing that jumps out indicating such
What is ammonia and nitrate level and what test kits are you using?

The breathing rate is ok, just breathing a bit too deeply. It is also coughing which can be a sign of something on its gills - mucus, detritus or gill flukes. Agreed that it is a bit thin.
Have you tried cutting the food into smaller pieces?

Chopped up some mysis it seems it did not spit out everything.
It is definitely coughing, not all the time.

I put in an extra spongefilter and will change some water to reduce diterius.

That looks worse than before?

You might consider dosing the tank with Prazipro, in case it is gill flukes.

That was a coughing fit? Now it is back to normal. I did a 5 min freshwater dip, no change directly after.

Prazipro is not available in Sweden, Esha-gdex containes the same active ingrediens.

1 ml contains: 66 mg of praziquantel.

hopefully I can get i tomorrow or on monday.

The freshwater dip made the breating seem more normal. It is also eating chopped mysis now, and not spitting it out.

The fish is thin, I will feed it a couple of times before medication since praziquantel supress the apetite.

Multiple small feedings each day a best 4x if you can do it.

I dosed Esha-gdex this morning. The goby started to show some symtoms again, but not after the first dose.
The eyes are a bit asymetrical, could this be because of flukes? Or maybe he was always like this.

Forgot to write how it sent. The goby is fine, Esha-gdx two times with 7 days apart and he was good to go into the display tank.
