I have a 40 gallon all in one tank. Trying to decide where to place my new Aussie joker torch in the tank. I would like it higher it possible but think they like it mid to low to start. Also suggestions on where to place black widow anemone as it will wonder until it’s happy?

Attached are pictures of rock work, splatter hammer picture from months ago (it’s a tad bigger now), and actual pictures of new torch and anemone I’m getting tomorrow.

Maybe somewhere just to the left and up on the rockwork behind the hammer? (I would say the right but it looks like something is already there.)

I can't speak to the nem other than that it will move as desired until happy.

Thanks that’s what I was thinking. Wonder if the top rock above hammer could handle the torch if it’s too much height/light and/or flow.
Appreciated the feedback. Everything I have in the tank is movable. So I can move anything if there is a better spot for the corals. I’d hate to move the hammer, it looks happy where he is.

Everything looks too new .
Brand spanking new ….
It’s not new, this picture was the best one I could find at the time. Rock is definitely not bright white as the picture would suggest. So I do get that and appreciate the ask.

Tank is 7 years old, but the rocks were pressure washed and parked in the sun for 3 days to get rid of a terrible hair algae I couldn’t get rid of with cleaning/water changes and the live sand was renewed. That was done about a year ago. The rock scape hasn’t changed since this picture was taken, I’d say that picture of tank was taken about 9 months ago, so it was about 3 months at the reset time. So I get the question, especially with adding an anemone. I can take another picture to show it not so white anymore!

Just an update in case anyone would like to see the final placement. They seem pretty happy right now
