I don’t have any updated tank pictures, but I’ll tell you what live stock I have:

7 tangs
4 clowns
5 miscellaneous small fish

Heres what I currently have:
5 micron filter socks changed daily.
UV sterilizer 80watts rated for 600 gallon tanks with low flow.
A tennis ball size cheato that I recently added.

I used to have a bubble magus curve 9 which is rated up to 400 gallons (probably around 100gallons in my opinion). I disconnected it because my sump level was only 5 inches and it wasn’t working properly because it required 10-11inches.

I am feeding pretty heavily and I think my tank needs help.

I get water changes once a month with natural sea water.

Curious, what help do you need? Are your fish not doing well? Algae problems? parameters off?

I guess I'd like to know (besides the above):

1. What are your parameters? (Alk, CA, PO4, Nitrate, SG, temp, etc)
2. What lights?
3. How much water do you change?
4. Corals?
5. What is 'your filtration'? Or did you mean Flow in general? You didnt mention a skimmer, etc etc. You didnt mention powerhead, other flow type devices.

Based on what you said, I would make sure you have enough flow (perhaps a couple Gyres?), a skimmer for your size tank, etc.

Fish are doing well.

I added some new fish and ammonia is .25ppm with salifert.

Nitrates .25-.50

I just got some algae/diatoms but it’s not excessive and it doesn’t bother me.

I change about 80% of the water once a month.

Im not running a skimmer. For flow, I have 2 jebae pumps. They are large and good sized for my tank. With surface agitation.

Your ammonia (if accurate) is too high (did you use Prime). You wanted. A critique of your filtration. I would say you dont have enough/any filtration (except the filter socks)?

I assume this is a fish only tank? Do you have any live rock (this would be some filtration)? I would suggest a way to use carbon (the black kind), and a skimmer

Yes. I used prime. I have live rocks and I’m also using carbon (forgot to mention that).

I guess I need to know where to get a skimmer with low water level requirements.

Thats usually not a problem - My skimmer - I have to raise up. A company like Bulk Reef Supply - or your LFS should be able to tell you what will be a match for your system.
