Does anybody know what these clove looking things are?? There's a colony right above the bubblegum digi. They look like mini xenia, but they aren't xenia.

Hard to se them but they definitely look like blue clove polyps.
That's what I'm thinking, possibly hitchhikers because I've never put cloves in my tank. They do close up at night as well. I'm just not sure. Either way, they are about to be smothered out by the fruity pebbles Monti coming right at them, lol.

I just read up on them. Definitely a pest coral. I read a thread that fluke tabs kill them. I might try that if my fruity pebbles Monti doesn't kill them first.
The monti won’t bother them. It’s only an encrusting coral and the cloves will slow the growth of the monti

Believe it or not, the monti has been pushing them back. I think I may regret putting it on my main rock. It's also taken out a couple of armor of God Zoanthid polyps. I'm curious what it's gonna do when it hits the bubble gum digi.
