Please help me identify what’s going on with my clownfish!

Do you know much about dosing with Kordon rid ich? I recently dosed my tank for the 3rd time on top of the copper safe and my clown fish is beginning to act up a bit and seems to be losing some life. He is floating up on his side and breathing very heavy. Any help would be great!

Im not a fan of rid ich especially with it being a freshwater use product as well. I definitely see mucus around the clown's face

Rid Ich contains malachite green, and that can be toxic to fish if not dosed correctly. It also isn't very effective in marine tanks. I've never heard of dosing both that and copper at the same time, I would worry that mix could prove problematic.

Will this infect other fish in my tank? Do I need to worry about a bacterial spread? Also how long does the qt usually take? I sadly just jumped from my 50 gallon to a 210 and don’t have a quarantine tank set up yet. Is this something that needs to be done asap or will tomorrow or Saturday work?

yes, the brook will. Bacteria is spread is not the concern. ASAP, brook can kill and spread fast.

Its for FW. Best thing in SW for most illnesses is copper.

Also don't put rocks in QT.

What brand test do you recommend? Is API okay?

fish seems to be doing great today in the amount I put in which was closer to the 10 gallon mark. But he is swimming happy and I am seeing his coat beginning to clear a bit already!! Pic below

Read the directions for testing with API test kits. I believe the API states that you have to look down tube not from the side for the color change.
