Hey there,

Ordered a bunch of ReeFi Uno's and I'm trying to figure how I'm going to hang these over my tank. I'd really like to avoid using 4x mounted arms as it makes a lid a bit of a pain. I'm thinking of building a rectangle using inside corner brackets and then hanging it with the clips seen below. What I can't figure out.. other than the obvious o-ring... what do I use to hang it? How can I set it up so that the tether I use is adjustable just incase the height needs to be altered for PAR reasons?

corner brackets: Amazon.com: Boeray 20pcs Black T Slot L-Shape Interior Inside Corner Connector Joint Bracket with Screws and Wrench Tool for 2020 Series Aluminum Extrusion Profile Slot 6mm: Home Improvement

Could you mount 2 of the 2040 channels vertical on the wall then mount the back side of you rectangle holding the lights to that then from the highest point on the vertical channels mount the wires at a step angle to the outside edge of the rectangle? you would still be able to move it up in down on the vertical channels to adjust the Hight.

I'm losing you in the middle. I get mounting the 2040 to the wall vertically.. losing you after that. What purpose are the wires serving if I mount the rectangle to the vertical channels? How am I mounting the rectangle to the vertical channels?

Edit: I feel honored to have garnered your sixth post in 8 years.

Oh yea I'm the king of lurking for sure. I'd imagine you could use the inside corner connectors to connect the frame to the vertical channels, but you'll need to support the out side edge of the frame with the wire see attached fantastic drawing. The thicker black T is the channel and the thinner black line would be the wire.

I'm with you now. Similar to the AL fixture:

I made a wall mounted floating hood for my tank, detailed in the linked thread below.
