I am going to start growing my own pods and phyto. YT is helpful but I would like to see the setups of all you successful makers of these 2 things.

interesting idea, don't know if that would work here. I live in south floridaCheck out this guy who just grows outside. I’ve just got some buckets in my basement with a grow light on them for pods. Add phyto and dried spirulina every now and then. Works great. It’s so easy

More pods.
You'll be glad you never chucked it. If there's enough food try and stop them reproducing. Mine can explode in a few days then after many harvests die down. Never clean the bottom of the container as many pod eggs lay there waiting to hatch at least with the small pods I have. Big thanks to...www.reef2reef.com
what is the black oval thing?I’m new to this but I am only doing pods for now. Tigger in the back and Tisbe up front. Just did my first harvest and water change. Tisbe seems to be turning the phyto clear faster than Tigger so far. Simple glass jars with rigid airline. Using Phyto Feast to feed. Growing phyto seems more complicated than pods and Phyto Feast is so concentrated and fairly cheap I figured this is a good place to start.

im pretty sure it's a counter-top hydroponic setup, those seem to be holes for veggie plants and that is a grow light on topwhat is the black oval thing?
Minor distinction but I think its a counter-top aeroponics setup.im pretty sure it's a counter-top hydroponic setup, those seem to be holes for veggie plants and that is a grow light on top

how do you harvest? scoop and dump or is that plumbed to your tank to auto feed?My pods grow in here.![]()
I don't harvest them, they just do their thing and end up in the display. There are thousands on the sides of the tank before the lights come on. Once my fish are out of QT and in the display I'll probably harvest the Caulerpa and shake it out in the display to get any pods out of it before tossing it in the compost bin.how do you harvest? scoop and dump or is that plumbed to your tank to auto feed?
Poseidon Reef Systems sells a "PodNest" separately that I have been looking at getting. Seems like a better choice than a pod hotel.would it be worth it to put in one of those "pod hotel" 3D printed things in the culture jar?
Thanks for the shout out.OK. I got the Phyto from @Reef By Steele yesterday and got my cultures started. I mixed fresh salt, and cleaned all the containers out, and get it in the window for natural sun. I REALLY hope I got this right.
