Yeah. Tuned it so that water level is higher in the overflow box with the longer emergency drain line, which made the overflow silent. Didn’t give me extra height in the display though.
If you raised the overflow height, then the display has to have risen? It's how they are designed to work.

I have a herbie setup but a tower style overflow. If I raise the height of the emergency, then my display rises.

The water height in the display is dictated by the difference in height between the internal and external box, as well as the height of the weir cutouts in the internal box. They can't be adjusted on the eshopps overflow. It's a common complaint.

On most sump setups that is a removable piece that you can shorten. I ended up just replacing the ones in my sump with new pipes that I cut to only be a couple inches below water line. If you look closely at my drain here you can see how the pipe is not too far under the water level

Makes sense! I’ll get to work and report back! Thank you for all your help, much appreciated!

I have no experience with that style overflow, and did not know that was a issue with them.

I stand corrected!

Yeah, it's a thing with them. This is the large, and I'd prefer a slightly higher waterline visually but the offset design puts the waterline about even with the top of external box.

Super odd, had some stuff to do so came back a few hours later to get to work and there’s absolutely zero air coming through the drain, and it’s silent!!! No idea what happened but I’m happy about it!

It finally purged air but you really should make it shorter, it makes it way faster to purge that air
