Plumbing Modular marine overflow?

I just started trying to plumb my Modular Marine overflow and man it’s a tight fit on everything! What do you guys think of this layout for the three pipe system?

At this stage, my emergency drain in the middle just has a random short pipe on it til I cut a full length one. My left side overflow is my Open Channel overflow (the one that allows in air and doesn’t go full siphon) and will have a 90 and a cap on the tee. The cap may have an airline if I can make that work somehow without having to prop my lid open.

Is there anything wrong or silly here? First time doing a beananimal style three hole overflow.

You're right it is a tight fit. I have 90s on Main and middle. 1 shorter than the other. The emergency is a straight pipe up. I've seen the main with just a coupling on it. You will adjust the level with the gate valve. The order you have it in is fine, what matters is the water level in the box. Your emergency should be way higher though.

Your secondary drain might make some noise using a tee. On mine I used two 90s and drilled a 3/8” hole on the top. Works well and is dead silent.

Ahhhh thanks! This makes a lot of sense. What is different with their design that allows that versus all the ones I see plumbed the way I was attempting and falling at lol! Or is it just always fine to do it with straight pipes?

It is pretty tight with the 1 1/4” fittings I’m using. My secondary drain elbow hits the top of the centerbrace

You have your elbow going over the main drain right?

I like the elbow on the secondary because my water level fluctuates a bit more then I’d like. The elbow will take on more flow than the straight pipe before becoming noisy ime

With the elbow it creates a suction that’s why it’s a little quieter

Here’s another option I was trying while you guys were filling me in on elbows versus no elbows. I’d like it to be super quiet so I’ll see if I can find some other configuration to fit that again with this drain ordering since it fits my sump plans best without crossing over pipes

I don’t let my secondary have a trickle, I have the water right up to the edge with no trickle. You can say i have 2 emergency drains

Even if set to a trickle you think?
