My overflow has a 3 pipe full siphon capability:

1) How would everyone pipe that down to a sump that has one main drain compartment?

2) Does the return go back through the overflow?

3) Do I have some major equipment mismatching going on here?

CURRENT EQUIPMENT
16" Synergy Reef Overflow
60 Somatic Sump
Reef Octopus VarioS 2 return pump
54 gallon corner tank

I would upgrade the sump to a model that had three inlets or if that had to wait then I would go with a bean animal overflow and get the primary and secondary drain into the filter sock but don’t connect the two drains as for the emergency drain let that dump anywhere in the sump for now as long as it works if the others fail. Then upgrade the sump as soon as possible. You could bring the return up through the overflow but I wouldn’t. Just run a line upon the opposite side of the tank.
