I know I'm too late but for future reference... if you get stung, spray or dip your hand (or whatever part of body that was stung) in vinegar. The vinegar neutralizes the sting (especially if is a nematocyst sting). Then immerse is hot water, as hot as you can bear without getting burned. The hot water will degrade toxins.
This is what all scuba operations do when a diver gets stung (sans hot water as hot water is not typically available on dive boats). If severe, after the self-treatment, go to urgent care / ER.
