The stuff you used was Maguier’s Aluminum Polish. The Auto Mechanic at work, used that on headlights.

I 3D printed a adaptor for my tunze strong glass cleaner to hold micro mesh pads. Not perfect, but it works great for removing Coralie algae or small scratches.

Hi @Macdaddynick1 , I've got a bit of the same "Chiton haze" and was wondering if you could explain the reasoning for this, "It is important to move the magnet horizontally for one grit and vertically for the next, it is important not to go in circles." Thanks.

Here is my fixture. Although I will probably hang LED’s from it. When flipped right sided, the rails are on the bottom and the top will house the ballasts and cords.

Hello, from all of the info I've read on RC and other posts, circular motion polishing causes distortion and valleys in the acrylic, making it look weird if you accidentally stay in one spot for too long. Alternating the direction with the grit seems to be a lot more consistent. And going perpendicular will remove the previous layer more evenly than going the same direction and digging into the acrylic.

You can also get "micro mesh" sponges from Hobby Lobby that range up to 12,000grit. I prefer the sponges vs. the sheets because they're easier to hold onto. For 2000 & 5000 grits, I use 3m automotive abrasive sponge sheet.
