Not surprised to see so many at 0 being that we all spent our money at BRS due to their marketing success. I placed 10 orders and didn't receive any bonus gift.

Temporary marketing success for me. Yes, they got a few $ and a few orders from me, but they’ve lost me as a long term customer.

I bought a lot from Coral Savers. Shane is a sponsor on here, but he mostly does sales on ebay and facebook. I thought his sale prices were pretty reasonable. They weren't stupid good deals, but definitely a slight discount. Also since he doesnt have a website, there's no need to artificially inflate your original price so you can have a huge discount.... like what I see from a lot of vendors.....

I don't buy any live stock this time of year due to the multiple shipping problems that seem to happen. In a few days there'll be numerous threads on how Fed ex screwed up my order!

0.

I don't need or have room for new corals.

But if I did, it would still be 0 because Black Friday is a marketing ripoff trying to trick people into thinking they are getting a deal.

If you want the best prices without playing live sale games and wasting 8+ hours so you can get two $5 corals that were a good deal i would suggest for the most part it is not from R2R vendors or the mega vendors in general. I browsed through some of the "sales" again and it just made me LOL. Single polyp red people eaters 60% off at $19.99. seriously?

I do think there are some good vendors on here with fair prices, but in my opinion they are largely the ones not doing the massive hype sales. My only purchases this weekend were from a non-R2R vendor that had 20% off. Of course their everyday prices are the same as a lot of these vendors sale prices so i did get some legitimately good prices.

Wow, this poll didn't go as I expected it to. I picked up some new coral this past weekend at the LFS.

FedEx is a death wish year round right now, they are having serious issues. Overnight is like 3 day right now.

Bought 12 corals, 2 fish and some CUC from Living Reef Orlando (LRO) on Black Friday. The boss and I were there at store opening (along with many others). Their prices were great along with the selection. Very professionally set up that allowed for easy choice of specials wanted.
We even went back on small business Saturday and bought more!
Alex and Ann have a great crew that make you feel like Family. They take the time to explain everything you want to know before you purchase with confidence.

I don't subscribe to the impulse buying live sale encourage.

Also anyone with a brain and some knowledge, can often see corals are marked up during live sales, even though they often tell you your getting a HUGE discount.

Which again leads to, and encourages impulse buying.
