Caught up on the thread.
Beautiful reef and photos you have. Congratulations.

After all those months, did you see any change in the corals after hooking up the CO2 scrubber?
And do you still use the scrubber now?

Oh and one more, how about that bounce?
Did you get that one in the end and did something good come from it?

Glad to hear that the damage was minor. Set up looks great.

Quite a hobby we have when it feels like party time due to a disaster being minor :D

I’ll definitely have to check that out

If you're looking for ATO's, everybodies favorite is the Tunze ATO, super reliable (couldn't see which you were using). I will say though, I'm very partial to the Smart ATO Micro. It's kind of "smart" as it has some basic self-programming. It doesn't run longer than it's ever run before, meaning if you normally fill for 5-6 seconds it remembers that, and if one day it runs for say, 12 seconds it shuts off and sets an alarm, then needing to be manually turned on and off.

Because of this, it's been bulletproof for almost 4 years for me now. It has an optical eye, and reacts to as little as around 1/8" of water loss. I love it.

Thank you! I still co2 scrub but my tank has never taken off with growth. My tank runs between 8-8.3ph daily. I see growth but nothing substantial. I just haven’t found the sweet spot

You mean the pin drop.... I lost it. Not like it died. It just floated away and it’s not like I’ll ever find it. Hopefully one day it’ll pop up.

Thanks for the info rakie! I have the tunze now. I like it but I also don’t. It has over filled a few times and the only thing that has stopped it is the secondary float valve. It works for now but I’m still not 100% happy.

So the tank is kind of on cruise control. I haven’t really messed with it much nor do I want to. I’ve been having problems with cyano and hair algae in the frag tank so I dosed erythromycin it attempt to get rid of the cyano but I dosed too much and almost lost some priceless pieces. Thankfully they only browned out and did not die. As for the display... it looks better than ever. Everything is coloring up and most are growing well.

Here are a few of the pieces that browned out

That float switch saved me the first day I set mine up. Ugh.

Yea same here. Idk why but that optical sensor doesn’t seem to be the most reliable. Every time I do a water change and turn the ato back on afterwards it fills past the optical sensor

That's why I mentioned the smart ato micro, it's dead accurate and so far 100% reliable. Never fills past the tip of the eye.

What you describe is how I almost had a flood as I mentioned. Here is what I found. Every time you power down and restart, the unit has to refind the water level. To avoid issues, turn all pumps back on including skimmer, reactors, etc. Once everything is running normally, then restart the ATO. If the water level starts above the optical sensor, the sensor will never find the water level.

This is the best description of what happens. It’s actually why I returned my first tunZe because I thought the original had an issue

I do not no why I thought it would “remember” at first. It makes sense. A pause button would be cool for water changes or swapping / filling the reservoir. Otherwise, I think the unit works great.

@SneakyTortuga Just finished reading through your whole thread! That was a whirl, but you have a great looking tank :D

Got a couple questions for you. First, what is that new lens you're using? Second, what's your top 5 Tenuis? ;)

Recently I haven’t really been involved with the tank. I’ve set it on cruise control and I’ve just enjoyed the view.

I got a frag of little red Ferrari and arc firework at the frag swap this weekend so I figured I’d snap a few pictures of the corals progression
