I placed a number of bids and as soon as the bids post, I am outbid by $1. I can't find a function that allows me to automatically bid as these other bidders are able to do. Can you help me out?

Someone has proxy bid that automatically bids until their max bid. The max bid is hidden from public. You can bid anything over $1 and it will be your proxy bid. But if your proxy is less than other proxy bid, it'll be automatically outbid. So just bid the most you're willing to pay and if it holds great, if not there's no harm since you don't want to pay more than that anyway.

Just bid as usual, as long as it's double the minimum increment. Since our minimum increment is $1 most of the time, anything larger than $1 will be treated as proxy. For more details you can read: https://www.piecesoftheocean.com/pages/auction-rules-and-policy
