Ground fault circuit interrupter. Plug with the little push switch in the middle all around your kitchen sinks. At any time the circuit detects a short it's going to open the circuit to protect your gear and you in case you are the short.

Anything within splash range should be a GFCI. You'll spend about 20 bucks on it and should take no more than half an hour to replace.

Ground fault circuit interrupter. It trips the power off quickly to the receptacle.
Something I’ll definitely be looking into doing. Thank you for the advice.

@Lost in the Sauce My power strip has a surge protector in it. I’m pretty sure no water got into it, because I had it standing, leaned against the wall. It didn’t turn off on its own either. Am I safe to plug it back in?
If you electrocute yourself and die, I'll kill you.

Do a very thorough inspection. Turn it over and shake it be positive there is no water.
