Would you run 4 strips of 460nm powerbrites versus one or two 36" reefbrites over a 36" long -50breeder
?

I've seen the powerbrites before and it looks awesome but never seem reefbrites in person

benny z or twinspots_goby probably do, I'll check with them tomorrow. I only have a 36" bar with my 175w halide, so not quite what you are looking for. I have seen the powerbright vs the reefbrites and IMO (as I did not measure par or lux) the reefbrites are brighter.

I have a reef Brite 24" bar and was able to completely remove both 24" T-5 actinics.....In fact I will have to say that the Reef Brights are much brighter then the 2 T-5s combined.....My corals have better color and the LEDs do not get over powered by the MH. They cover the whole tank as well 24"x24"x24".....From everyone that I have talked to that have both say Reef Brites are the way to go for supplementation.

does the reefbrite color look as good or better than the powerbrites blue light?

The Reef Brites is a deep, deep navy type blue any bluer and it would be purple. When just the Reef Brites are on the corals look like a black light poster....

That's what I'm talking about!
I like it when everything is trippy looking under the blueness. haha

from what it sounds like its very dark blue - does the colors pop more than powerbrites b/c i like how the corals pop under the royal blueness produced by powerbrites but seen some LEDs which are very dark and looks rather ugly.

I will get some pics here in a bit.....The actinic color of the LEDs throw the camera for loops though so they might not be the best pics....But you will be able to see the color.

To the eye the blue is deeper but to the camera it is as it comes out i the pics....No editing straight from camera to computer to photobucket...

Even the 50/50's look nice. Hilarious Kraylen! Read your post with the video.

How about Coral Sky leds? I've heard they are the best.
