Best can be very subjective. I will tell you I use a tunze 6040 in my office biocube and really like it. It is cheaper than other high end options like an mp10 but higher quality and longer lasting than the supercheap Chinese pumps. If that isn't in your budget I would looke at some Hyder koralia Nanos. No control but well made and will last forever.

I’ve had a very good experience with the AI Nero 3 in my Biocube 32. Lots of bells and whistles, like the MP10, but half the price. I’ve also read several reports from other BC32 owners with the same experience... highly recommend.

What did you end up going with? I purchased the tunze 6055 for my biocube 32 and it was probably a lot more power than I needed. I've been reading up on the nero 3 and mp10. Haven't quite decided if I should stick w/ what I have or change it up to something with a smaller profile. Additionally, how many did you get, where did you place them and how are they angled?
