I just use 1x Nero 5 on the far side of a Red Sea Reefer 350. Set between 35%-70% power on random mode. Added a 3D printed plastic guard after a red linkia starfish and sea hare both died. After adding the guard, it works like a charm. :)

Tank is a 125 peninsula. I have two icecap gyre 2k vertically on one end along with a Nero 5. On the opposite end I have two Nero 3’s. Still don’t have enough flow.

I have 2 ReefWave 45’s and 1 MP40 in my RedSea Reefer 525xl. The ReefWaves never seemed to create enough flow when position at the ends, opposite one another, so I moved them to the back wall on opposite sides of the overflow. The MP40 is at one end of the tank, blowing lengthwise along the front glass.

There’s still dead spots but I’ve run out of receptacles, otherwise I’d add another MP40.

I have a single Tunze Turbelle 6255 (set to 4000 gph) in my 65 g sps dominant reef. Anything more would be overkill.

IN addition to the returns from the sump I am using a pair of maxspect gyre (230 I believe) in my 150 (5' by 2' by 2'). I have one on each end

Voted for two because I’m currently trialing 2 mp40s on my 4ft 90. Had two icecap gyre 3ks as well but I took them off and repositions the mp40s and cranked them up and so far I don’t think my tank noticed the difference

One dinky DC in a 15 Water box - can’t remember brand and it’s plenty
two Mp10s in a 40 cube ~ perfect distribution and pattern
two mp40s and a Nero in a 90 lagoon - good but it’s a softie build out so far and
4 mp40s and a gyre in a 180 Cade - afraid I am going to need a little more oomph due to growth

RedSea Peninsula 650 . I use 2 ReefWave 45s mounted vertically on the overflow end up high and 2 MP40s down low under the 45s.. On the opposite end I have a Maxspect gyre 250 mounted horizontally to ripple the top surface. I built my own schedule to change up flow and keep the current flowing and prevent dead zones as much as possible.

I have a 93 gallon corner bow front, it is drilled so there is an overflow wall in the back, I have one Nero 5 mounted about 5 inches below the water level on the overflow wall pointing towards the front of the tank, I only have LPS and some softies, it is seeming to be very efficient for what I have. I’m currently running this, but change it all around occasionally. What would I need to do to add an easier SPS into my tank?

Here is my tank. I also have the return nozzle that adds some additional flow.
