Can't be sure as the pics are not close ups, and, males often inflate their pouches to show the females that he is ready.
The pouch does appear to be a bit fuller than I normally would expect so it's possible the pregnancy if real is in earlier stages yet with maybe 4-8 days away from birthing.

Hi, beautiful pony. I don't have an answer for you unfortunately but I'm going through the same problem. Saw mine doing the courting ritual for days with pouch pumping to impress his girl, and a few days later his pouch looks like that of yours, just darker, he still does his dance with his girl but no more pumping, eating less and is less active. In my past seahorse experience I was able to tell after a week or two if in fact they were pregnant, bug my pony has been this way for 2 weeks now. Pouch size not increasing, water parameters are good, doing water changes every week, feeding twice to three times a day (although no the girls seem to get most), temperature is at 74 -/+ 1 (due to heat in apartment). He is doing great, swimming normal and still a happy boy, so I'm ruling stress or sickness out. So I'm baffled with my boy, trying to keep an eye on him but would be nice to have some insight/ experience from others
