Good morning,

Please can you help me out?
I'm a newbie to this hobby, I have Redsea 250 litres reefer tank with 2 16HD lights.

Please can you tell me the best settings for colours to get the correct PAR level without killing my sea anemones and mushroom coral.

Current settings UV, VIOLET, BLUES AT 60% , red, green at 0 and clear white at 20%

Is this correct for growing corals or anemones?

I like that lighting balance, I run my lights at similar proportions. My gut instinct is that you can ramp them up quite a bit more, but I wouldn't go faster than 10% adjustment every week or two. Or even more time between adjustments. Watch the anemone carefully with each adjustment.

BRS did an investigate on the AI Prime 16 HD's. It's what I used for setting up mine.

I went with AB+ and acclimated for 2 weeks from 50% to 100. Light as suggested, 8” above water line. Since going with that setup corals are taking off. I’ve lowered my whites reds n greens a tad. Going through ugly stage with all the jazz of cyano, ich, green hair yada yada yada. Good luck. Beautiful mandarin! I’ll get one when/if I get better at this reef stuff.
