Super embarrassing to post this...... fit 6 lbs of stuff in 5 lb bucket, my existing 75. My Apex Jr is somewhere in there......Which power brick is for the left light........

Good reminder to take my time and plan it out.

I hit the floor joist with the drill both for each hanger!!!!! No extra holes in the ceiling!!!! I think the wife was more happy than me :).

Got it centered and leveled. The floor joist in the ceiling weren’t exactly lined up but looks better than the 8020 arms I was going to do.

Ordered some ATI bulbs and will through those in next weekend. Once I get my Radions put in and take some par readings I’ll finalize the height and trim the cable.

I don't think UPS wants me to run my lights. First, they delivery the Hybrid fixture and it has a big hole in the box that was taped over on the end. Luckily there was only slight cosmetic damage (so far). Marine Depot mentioned the 61" X18 would be out for 2-4 weeks so they are sending a replacement part and I will fix on my own.

Then my bulbs came today, I was super excited to get them in and get some light in the tank. I grabbed them from the front porch and......

:)

They busted the shipping tube in two pieces, taped it up and delivered it. All 6 of the bulbs were shattered. UPS, you suck.

On a bright note my XR15 came in. I am placing this in the middle and will move my two XR30s over in a few weeks. At least the new inhabitants have some light :). It is kind of sad though.....

Picked up the first "new" fish, Tinker, one that wasn't transferred from the other display.

Yea, 2" would have been nice but needed to get my aquarium going sometime....

At least the savings let me purchase a few extra goodies.

Bought two of these for my AWC. Decided these over the DOS as they are continuous duty, quieter and move more liquid.

Looking great. I was eyeing then at RAP Chicago as well. Unfortunately for me, I don't have a straight shot to the basement and have to make two turns...

With the plumbing, rather then using adapters, could you have just swapped the bulkheads out?

I was looking down the overflow and it looked to be siliconed in (additional leak protection) and I was a bit uncomfortable switching those out as it was hard to see what exactly was going on. My first internal overflow tank so I just left that piping as is.

Anyone else have their ProStar 220 up? Would like to see what others have done!!
Mine is up and cycling right now Day7. I have a ton of pics. Im planning on doing a build thread. Heres two shots with no lights on. Keeping the aqua scape low and simple for corals to fill the space. My last tank 35g was ALL rock based on lbs per gallon rule. If anything fell in back or side it was near impossible to reach. I had to make a Diy stick that can bend and turn just to reach it. I could not clean the sand anywhere except the front. The corals just grew out. The 220 will be less rock more coral approach with a ton of fish. I want all access all around the rock for maintenance and flow. Especially if something dies I can reach.

Flow and maintenance looks like it will be no problem on your aquascape. Lots of room for corals :)

That's one item I made sure was the fact I can reach around all the aquascape and my scrapper fit all around the glass.

I do have a lot of rock but the fish (especially the tangs) like zipping in and out and everyone seems to have their own hiding spot .

I did have to add the two extra Wav pumps (on top of my 2 Gyre 250) to ensure I had movement to keep detritus building up at bay.

Let there be light!!!!

Marine Depot got me my second batch of light for the Aquticlife Hybrid. Running ATI coral plus and Blue Plus. I’ll get some Par numbers now that they are in.
