Puffy thing at base of coral ?

This has been at the base of my hammer coral since I got it ~ 2 months ago
Growing slowly if at all, and it looks soft not hard.
Looks like there might be two of them, and almost like each has a white stick growing in what would be a mouth.
Haven't watched it super close, but I don't think it opens, closes or pulsates at all.

Could it be something that was cut off before I got the coral ?

Looks like the head of a mushroom but hard to see on a phone screen
