So at the bottom of my pulsing Xenia I noticed a small bubble like thing at the base. I now believe that it’s growing. It might not be as I haven’t monitored it too much but I think it is because I haven’t seen it this big. Because I haven’t paid much attention to it I may be wrong.
does anyone have any suggestions to what it could be?

Looks like bubble algae, you can reach in there and just pop it. Emerald crabs also love to eat it if it gets too bad.

Bubble algae. Kill it with fire!!!!!

Fire not actually recommended. Take the xenia plug, and scrub the bubble algae off using a toothbrush or something into a bucket of water. Then rinse the plug to wash off most of the bubble algae contaminants, and a final swish in another bucket of water for good measure.
