I have this UV: https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/80-watt-classic-uv-sterilizer-black-body-aqua-ultraviolet-2.html

my issue is knowing which pump will be good for it. I want to use it for parasite control (500gph according to BRS)
And 1200gph for algae.

I mainly want to use it for parasites, but I want the option to change flow.

The UV pump will be in the display tank, flow to the sterilizer which is near the sump, then go back to the opposite side of the tank.

this is 100% how I want to set it up. I just don’t know what pump/pump valve. Or does a pump have a built in gph control?

I think you are right as that makes much more sense. In that case he wants an adjustable pump that can do 1200 GPH at 6 ft. The hydor 2400 seltz d will get it done see chart
