Hello everyone I was looking at my fish tank a few min ago and I seen my purple tang had a white spot, hopefully you can see it in the picture. Any ideas on how I can treat him thanks!

The pic isn't close enough to tell For sure, but it is definitely not his scalpel right?

Not the white spot in the tail are ? If it is that’s what they use to defend themselves. That’s the only white spot I see in the pic.

It’s not the scalpel. I’ll try and get a better picture but he doesn’t stay still for long!

I’m also testing the parameters see if anything is off

Just wanted to be sure lol. With there only being one spot I would doubt ich, maybe a fluke?

Doesn't look particularly ichy. I like the fluke idea. Try dipping him in some FW and see if it falls off

Thanks, from the look on the video seems like it might be the flukes and if it is would I have to treat my other fish as well?

It could be ich, but I’d wait and see how long it stays before taking any action. If it’s a fluke and it’s not showing any other symptoms (heavy breathing, twitching, etc) or straining from the ich, one little spot isn’t going to kill the fish. If the spot is still there in 5 days it’s not ich. If it’s gone within 24 hours, it wasn’t ich.

Looks more like an injury to me. Any other tangs in the tank he likes to barb fight with?

If it were a fluke, you should notice it slowly crawling over his skin.
