I have a new Flame Angel in my QT
Shows no sign of disease but I would like to treat for parasites before putting him in my DT
Learning Angels can’t handle copper.
I would like to hear how experienced reefers handle this situation!!

Angels are ok with some types of copper, I use Coppersafe on them at full dose with no issues. The old school copper/citric acid meds were a lot harsher.
My basic protocol is:
30 days coppersafe tested with a Hanna checker
3x prazipro treatment, 7 days apart
2 weeks observation with no meds
FW dip to screen for Neobenedenia flukes, if seen, 35 days of hyposalinity.

Ordered Hannah tester as well!!!
Just be sure to dose in two parts - calculate a full dose, then add half of it, let it mix for a few hours and test to ensure you are at half a dose, then add the second half of the dose and wait and retest to double check things.
You’ll want to buy extra reagents for the Hanna, I think it only comes with six or so packets.

Showing 1.04 now
That is perfect - add a second dose exactly the same and you’ll be at 2.1 which is spot on... 2.0 to 2.25 is the range.
