Bought a six line wrasse figure I’d do it right. Set up a 10 gallon quarantine tank. I filled tank with water from my display tank. It’s been running for about a month. My perimeters are salinity 1.025 phosphate 0.03 nitrate 10 ppm ph 8.2. I have an ammonia badge showing ok. I acclimated by floating bag for about 20 minutes then dripped for another 25 minutes before putting in the tank. He seemed fine even ate myson shrimp. Was active but in the morning found it dead. My question is should I do a 5 gallon water change before adding fish and skip drip acclamation. Just put it tank.

LFS or shipped fish?
Temp of tank?
Salinity of bag water?
Container of deep sand for it to sleep in?
