Hello i have 15g nano reef started about month ago. There 2 Ocellaris clown, and some corals(you will see them on pictures). The think im worried about is brown algae, in the beginning all rocks were brown but now i notice there are some little hairs(dont know this is the right word, you will see on the pics). I think this is because my high level of NO3 - 25ppm, which i cant lower with water changes. I have protein skimmer too. What about dosing red sea NO3:pO4-X or some other method to get rid from this algae? Thank you!
Here are my parameters:
Temp: 78F
SG: 1.025
KH: 9-9,5
PH: 8,4
Ammonia: 0
NO2: 0
NO3: 25
Ca: 440
Mg:1350
PO4: 0

The images aren't super clear, but I believe that's green hair algae (someone please jump in and correct me if my assessment is off). NOPOX will definitely lower your nitrates and phosphates (this can take up to a few weeks), but other than lowering your nutrients it won't necessarily deal with your existing algae.

Reducing your feeding, regular water changes and actively treating the algae (scrubbing it off, treatment, expanding your CUC, etc.) will all help.

How old is your tank?
Turn your photo period down and less intensity, feed less and and try to bring your phosphate up a little

I’m sorry you started your reef a month ago, when did you start turning your lights on

From day 1? You have been feeding the algae the light it needs from the beginning, I would turn them off and keep them off for a few more months to help the tank establish.
