I have a lineatus and pink margin with a couple tangs in a 60x30x24 tank. I added a linespot and McCoskers flasher wrasse. Had them in acclimation box for a few days. No aggression shown by tankmates. Once I let them loose the pink margin took after them. Saw this go on for over 30 minutes and there was no letting up. I caught pink margin and he is in box now. Do you think he will settle down being in the box for a few days? If not I will be selling him. Thanks for any info.

Yea, that's pretty crazy. I haven't had one problem with a fairy wrasse chasing flashers. Give him a couple of days in "Timeout" and go from there.

I think the time-out in the acclimation box should work. Also maybe add a small rock or two around your existing rockwork for some new places to hide.

That is an excellent idea Sara. I hadn't thought of that.

Let the margin out of box yesterday and he is a new peaceful guy. Him and the 2 flashers swim together a lot and no agression at all thank goodness. I sure didnt want to get rid of the margin. Will be adding more flashers and wrasses pretty soon. Terminal labouti is next. Thanks for the help guys.

Glad to hear the time-out worked well for you!

I tried it a few weeks ago and it helped. I've got another bunch of fish coming on Thursday and I have too many for an acclimation box so I'm hoping it works again for me!

Well I have to say that the tanks of you 3 is what really inspires me to have a reef tank with wrasses. Im looking to have about 35 fish in this one and have a ways to go. So far I have only the pink margin, lineatus, tomini tang and chocolate tang. Next up is labouti and redtail flasher pair.

Thanks Sara. Hows your tank coming along?

It's coming along ... I've been on vacation twice in the last month, so I need to get back in focus! I'll see what I can do to get some pics up later this week or weekend.
