So when going fallow in a DT for Ich what if you get all the fish out but 1 fish dies and is in the tank and can’t be found/retrieved? Does this continue the Ich cycle or not? Thanks.

No. The fish will decay during that 45-60 day fallow period and will not serve as a host thereby causing the tromonts to complete their life cycle and die off
Do check overflow box and sump to assure fish did not end up there
