Question: were all apex's wireless or just the 2016 version?

thinking of buying a full setup and it's advertised as apex wireless, just trying to figure out which version I'm potentially getting in the deal.

Neptune first introduced WiFi into the Apex 2016, and more recently on the Apex-EL. People who had the Apex Classic or older models often used external WiFi adapters such as the Netgear WNCE2001 which has an Ethernet port to connect to the Apex, but then connects it wirelessly to your WiFi network:
