I am having an issue with invasive xenia which I am going to treat with fenbendazole and also had a little bryopsis pop up recently. I figured while I was dosing for the xenia, I might as well take care of two issues at once since I'll have to run my skimmer cupless for two weeks. I do have a few questions if anyone wants to chime in.

1. Are there any conflicts of both medications in the tank at once? Natural flora affected? Possible snafus?

2. I'm removing carbon, but I have a bag of purigen in the sump under my returns. Should I remove the purigen since it binds organics or will it not affect the meds?

3. I plan to leave one reactor running with GFO to help with xenia die off and algal decay. Is this ok or will it affect either medication?

Natural flora affected?

Without question.

First google the action of the medicine to see what kind of organism works on.

Then google that organism and "reef" to see how that organism fits into the reef community.

Many many branches of microbial life are represented and all of them are necessary (along with generally healthy conditions) to create stability that reefs are known for.

Being sticky and staying connected: Have you used any reef-safe glue?
