I called every fish store in a 40 mile radius and found one willing to let me bring their Par meter home and back free of charge shoutout Sea Level Aquariums. Shoutout @Utubereefer for the recommendation. Lets get to it my light is a Kessil A360W mounted 8 inches above the water on a nuvo fusion 20g which is a 13" deep tank. The Meter i used was a Apogee MQ-510 Par meter. The powerhead was off the return pump stayed on. The light is not mounted dead center and since its such a shallow tank this creates a spread issues which in my case are positive because it allows for a mixed reef.Its running at 35% intesity as the peak and 48% color.

New light, Maxspect Jump Blue Edition on an IM 25 Lagoon measured with Apogee SQ-520 usb par meter. My lights are 8” off the water and the tank is only 12” deep. The 3 blue/violet channels are at 80%, green 0%, white 30%, red 20%. My rockscape is 3” off the sand on the left and rises to roughly 5.5” at its highest point in the center.

Red = sand
Yellow = rocks
Green = sand behind the rocks.

XR 30 G6 over 24 in cube, the light settings are: UV 100%, Violet 100%, Blue 100%, Royal 100%, Green 20%, Red 20%, Warm White 35%, Cool White 35%. One picture is at 60% Intensity, the other at 100% Intensity. The XR30 G6 should be able to hit SPS PAR values all over in a 24" cube, sandbed to top.

I don't know why people say Kessils don't have enough par for sps.
This tank is 16deep and lights 8 to 9in of water so total 25inches.
300 in center should be enough.

One question for OP. Is you kessil more towards the front of tank. Not centered ?

I know this is an old thread but I’m looking for some guidance on this setup. Which would you use for a mixed reef primarily euphyllia. Tank is a standard 120 with 4 AI Hydra 32HD’s. Each photo has the levels the lights are tuned at and both tests were done on a running tank.

It’s a great light setup, but I would say that it lands a little on the high side for Euphelia. They may adapt to it, but I don’t think it’s their ideal condition. I tend to keep them on the medium side light wise, 150-250 PAR, 300-400 is really more acropora numbers. IMHO

not sure if this is useful but for those with less money ( i do plan on spending money for corals when it is time)
Tank: standard 55 gallon - 48x14 (w) x18" deep 3 inches sand
Lights: aquatic Life HM Marine coral reef wireless led light 48 inch strip (has wifi controls)
had all colors running max
Meter: photone app
par: under light 2" ~280 (225 in plastic water proof bag)
just under water 75 at bottom of my tank ~15 inches 45 par front to back
all colors at 60% 2" uner light 220 (in bag 200), just under water 45, at 14-15 inches depth 40
not bad for a cheap light, but also not very good for corals
