The wife and I are starting to paint miniatures for DnD or Warhammer (haven’t played much of either but want to start). Are you a fan of any sports teams? Not really. If I watch sports it’s typically in support of a family members team. I think the only team/sport I’ve watched on my own was soccer and it was Manchester United a few years ago.
What’s something interesting about you that most people on R2R don’t know? I love spicy foods, the kind that tastes so good you can’t stop eating it but has enough heat to make you question why you keep taking bites. I’ve also ran 4 half marathons.
If you could travel anywhere, where would it be? Anywhere in Asia because of the food.
What’s one item on your bucket list? This changes a lot. But I think running a marathon has always been on there. It’s just a hefty time commitment.
Do you have any pets besides your reef tank? Tell us about them! Two dogs named Bear and Scout. Both about 9/10 years old. Bear is a lab mix that is too smart for his own good, and Scout is a golden retriever who can never get enough love.

What is one thing you always need more of? Food and salt
What are your other hobbies/interests? I enjoy hunting, fishing, art, gardening, being outdoors in general.
How do you like to spend your free time, whether it's relaxing after work or on the weekends? During summer I spend my free time gardening, canning and other homestead-like activities. During winter time I like being outdoors more. My favorite activity outdoors is to snowshoe. When I am inside I like to draw or watch my fish tank.
Do you have any dietary restrictions or preferences if your Santa wants to send a treat? No restrictions, I do love treats!
What’s your favorite candy or snack, either from your childhood or something you love to munch on now? My family baked a lot when i was growing up, so pies are a childhood favorite. I like most treats though I'm not real picky. My favorite candy is called a Twin Bing and is a real treat because they don't sell it where I live in Idaho! Whenever I visit family in Montana I am able to buy some but it's a real treat now.
What’s your favorite holiday tradition? Spending time with the family is the big one. My other favorite holiday tradition is that my family makes lefse for the holidays. It's a potato flat bread recipe that's been passed down for generations!
Do you collect anything? Fish equipment lol. I have too much. Honestly though, not really. I do love having a wide variety of fish food so I guess that could be a collection?
What's your favorite color? I like most colors. To wear its blue, for other things I would say dark green or purple.

What's one TV show or movie you can watch over and over again? The Office. Without a doubt my favorite show. I do watch it over and over again lol.

What's your favorite fish? My all time favorite fish is the volitan lionfish. I think they are so big and beautiful looking.
Favorite coral? Xenia, I love the way it pulses and flows in the water.
Favorite invert? Cleaner shrimp, I had mine for a little over a year.

I have just the one tank right now, its a 40 gallon cube AIO I've had running for nearly two years now. It has some soft corals, (xenia, green star polyps, zoas and mushrooms) and one lps (blasto but it's not doing well since my last move). I also have some fish (two clowns, buan sand goby, springeri damsel, and now a small coral beauty angel). For inverts I have some snails and a rose BTA.
Do you have any planned upgrades or tweaks you’d like to make to your tank(s)? No big upgrades planned. Would love to get a bigger tank but due to space this is what I can work with. Might make a change in coral and start adding more sps and see how that goes. Want to add more calcium based algae to the tank as well for a more natural look.
What's your favorite thing to watch in your tank? My pulsing xenia and watching the fish swim around. both have some wonderful and soothing movements.
Are there any parts of the reef hobby you get really excited over? I would say most parts but, honestly, I love algae the most. Odd I know but I get really excited seeing new types of algae in the tank or watching certain macros grow really well.
What are some good gift ideas for you? (Some general thoughts or ideas for whoever draws your name.) I think I am a pretty easy going person. Aside from the things I'll add to my elfster list for ideas, I love getting more small bottles of fish foods. I love variety so a small bottle lasts a long time. Anything fish related is a good safe bet. Fish food, books, art, or anything to wear. I'll try to add a variety of items to my elfster to help give extra ideas too.
If you had to choose, would you rather receive something handmade or something store-bought? Depends. Food I would prefer store bought (nothing personal!) but something like art or a hat I love homemade!

Favorite coral? Thats tough.... Torches, Mushrooms are probably my favorite but Rock Flower Nems im getting on a kick for.

Do you have any planned upgrades or tweaks you’d like to make to your tank(s)? I have a 6' salt water reef tank, I have a build thread that really needs more attention.. Upgrades? I plan on buying 2 blues from Quanta Helix, I also am about to buy a UV sterilizer, but honestly.. its slow and one step at a time. I also need to get better powerheads.

What's your favorite thing to watch in your tank? The tang gang.

Are there any parts of the reef hobby you get really excited over? for some reason im really on a rock flower nem kick.

What are some good gift ideas for you? (Some general thoughts or ideas for whoever draws your name.) I'm pretty simple really... Shirts, Socks, Sweatpants - if they're soft, they're more than welcome, but it never hurts sending something like cookies or something for me and my family to enjoy (Doesn't have to be a crazy gift, like I said... im simple).

If you had to choose, would you rather receive something handmade or something store-bought? Either are special, its if there was an effort actually put into it!

Are there any specific brands or reef products you love or prefer? uhm, Quantas Helix is the only thing that my heart is like locked into, at this point, I really dont have my heart set on a brand, besides SBB corals too?

Would you be interested in receiving livestock? If yes, what would you be interested in? disclaimer due to the busy holiday season we recommend not shipping livestock. Yes, I wouldnt mind a wrasse, however, It would need to be small.

Are there any additional questions you wish we had asked that we didn't? (Add those questions in under these and post your answers.) Not really. I know that I put down some expensive stuff, but frankly and honestly, Cheap is just as good to me or good food!!!!!
