Saturday is for the Sponges ;)
In the past year or so I have found a love for more natural-like reefs that consist of Sponges, Macroalgaes, and cool Inverts!
This is a shot from my "Natural Reef" Waterbox 65.4 that I maintain/tend to and is displayed at the World Wide Corals Orlando Super Store!!

When you were using the iphone, what settings were you using?
I still use my iPhone when I can get away with it! (Usually for Instagram stories) I don’t really mess with anything but the exposure. The key is eliminating flow and bringing the subject close to the surface of the water.

Beautiful pics, How is the basket starfish doing? I thought they were very hard to take care of…..what do you feed it?

Thank you!! Yes it is still alive and very well. I feed it a combination of a few things twice a day.

You take some incredible pictures! How do you get the pure white/black backgrounds for the coral/fish pictures?
The white backgrounds are achieved by literally photographing the subject behind a white background, and the black backgrounds are mostly achieved by photographing the subject behind black acrylic! Sometimes I am able to use photoshop to cut around the subject and darken the background, but I try to avoid that method as much as possible!
